In partnership with the USDA, as well as donations from organizations and individuals, we are here to help put food on your table. We do not want one person in our county to go without nourishment. We have the resources to get that food into your hands so you can provide meals for yourself or your family. We want you to experience healthy, nutritious meals. We accept donations of store-bought food, along with fresh vegetables, meat, and eggs from local farms and home gardens. We also act in a referral role to connect those in need with other agencies. Over the years, we have provided assistance to families who have lost homes in a fire. We have organized an after-school program. We partner with other organizations in the community to provide weekend backpack food to school-aged children. We also provide complete meals every year for any Clarke County family for Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as offer Christmas gifts.
